Graduated from Gwangju First High School / Department of Architecture, Seoul National University College of Engineering (1961); Graduate School, University of Minnesota, USA (1971) /
1961 Design architect for the restoration project of National Treasure No. 1, Namdaemun Gate in Seoul / 1964 Ministry of Education cultural-heritage specialist /
1982–2005 President of an architectural firm in Ohio (designed the Ohio Korean War Veterans Memorial Park; recipient of numerous architectural design awards) / 2008 Member of the Historical Research and Technical Subcommittees of the Republic of Korea's Sungnyemun Gate restoration advisory team / Editorial writer for the alumni magazine of the Seoul National University Alumni Association of America.
Made his literary debut in Korea through the New Writer Award of the Korean Literary Society of America, the New Writer Award of the Korean literary journal Free Literature, and the New Writer Award of the Korean essay journal Essay Fore, among others.
