A comet flowing through vast space
scattering light
does not know that on the Earth where we live
there is such a thing as time
history is formed and recorded, and when it is buried
in the earth it becomes fossil, and the rock remembers
among the animals, humankind learned language
invented writing and changed
the face of the Earth, and now, riding computers,
sets sail toward the universe
compressing this two-million-year legend into two hours
the first cry of humankind's firstborn, born again,
awakens the dawn of this year 2000
culture, religion, civilization, race, nation………
all joined together, now
we open a new chapter in our destiny
lord of all creation
the Creator lights a torch on the road ahead of cosmic humankind
that will live and flow on forever from this day
and the sun of the new millennium rises
Oh**!** this brilliantly shining morning
flying with the sunlight into a thousand light-years of endless
space, as the dawn unfolds
this dialogue between me and the Creator
echoes and rings out among the galaxies
