The overture sounds
and when light falls on the yard of 'A Doll's House'
the curtain rises on a new day
outside the door
desperate cries to survive
inside the room a rapturous meeting
the moans of orgasm
no telling winner from loser
happy weeping, twisted laughter
at the sound of the flute the evening glow fades
the dolls change into new costumes
and walk out into the night sky
a baby morning star in the sky where the Milky Way flows
the crescent moon, finely dressed, comes out to meet it
at dawn the dazzling morning sun rises
the dance of stars rising and setting to song
holy death, aching tears
tomorrow's laughter that comes without fail
brilliant light and silent darkness overlap
the vast stage of tomorrow is already set
steeped in the harmony sounding from behind
lowering the curtain on today, beautifully stained,
they turn back to the darkened 'Doll's House'
